Update on Parking – DCC Parking Enforcement has Clarified Position of all Shandon Permit Holders during KLM work

The SRA have obtained formal approval from DCC Parking Enforcement that permit holders can park on any of the following streets without fear of clamping, up until 7th April, while the KLM roadworks are going on in the Shandon area:

  • Shandon Crescent
  • Shandon Drive
  • Shandon Park
  • Shandon Road
  • Connaught Street 
  • Leinster Street

Dublin Street Parking Services have been made aware of the works that are taking place on Shandon Park, Shandon Road and Shandon Crescent. During these works permit holders can park on any of the streets that you have listed below.

Dear Andrea,

We are informed that during DCC-licensed work by KLM on Shandon Park, Shandon Road and Shandon Crescent over the next two months parking permit holders will not be clamped if they park on adjoining streets.

These adjoining streets have not, however, been specified.

Because the displacement will be both direct (by KLM’s operations) and indirect (by displaced permit holders having to park on other streets and reducing the space available to those streets’ residents) the only fair and workable arrangement is one in which any permit holder on any of the Shandon streets with disc parking is allowed to park on any of the following streets:

  • Shandon Crescent
  • Shandon Drive
  • Shandon Park
  • Shandon Road
  • Connaught Street 
  • Leinster Street

As a matter of urgency, since this work by KLM has begun, can you confirm that this is the arrangement you will be implementing so that sufficiently detailed information can be passed on to Shandon’s residents?
